Workshops for Students & Educators
Whether I'm speaking to people about ways to battle self-limiting beliefs and cultivate mental resilience, sharing practicing strategies and pedagogy tools with the next generation of trumpeters, or leading coaching workshops and courses that help people live and lead in authentic and aligned ways, there is something here for everyone.
Workshops for Students
“Taming the Gremlin: Tools for Cultivating Mental Resilience and Artistic Growth”
In this interactive workshop, I address ways to battle negative self-talk, fear, impostor syndrome and performance anxiety. I combine my personal stories of struggle and give practical tips and strategies for building confidence, shifting lenses and approaching life with joy and connection. This masterclass was given at the 2022 National Trumpet Competition.
Find Your Why: Align Your Creative Life with Your Values
This presentation is all about self-discovery and creative alignment. At the heart of this workshop is the question,”What would your musical life look like if it were truly aligned with the things that matter most to you?”
This can be presented on zoom or in person and can be done for students or educators.
It features coaching tools that help us unlock our potential, identify our values and live our creative lives in alignment with what matters most.
Workshop & Courses for Educators
Graydin: The Anatomy: Foundational Coaching Course
As a Graydin Start with Heart Facilitator, I’ve witnessed how coaching can transform the way we live, lead and engage with one another. I have led this course numerous times and believe it helps people:
become the most aligned and integrated version of themselves
define their own sense of purpose and personal agency
shift the culture of institutions
ask effective questions that encourage action, accountability, and autonomy
craft an expansive and aligned life
This is a 16-hour course and I co-facilitate it with my friend from Artists for Joy, Meredith Hite Estevez. For more information about the course, check out https://artistsforjoy.org/coaching-courses

Helping Students Find Their Why: Coaching Tools for Music Educators
As educators, we are always trying to think about creative ways to motivate our students. We know that external motivation works to some extent—competitions, upcoming concerts, grades—and yet, the research shows that if students are being led by intrinsic motivation, they will exhibit enhanced flexibility, resilience, and creative problem solving. In this workshop (presented at the International Women’s Brass Conference in 2022), I share several coaching tools that I use with musicians to help them connect their values to their musical practice and tap into their intrinsic motivation. This workshop works well on zoom or in person and lasts 1-2 hours.
